This is me

Firstly, thank you for heading to my page to find out more.

I am a mum of 4 boys, albeit one is now very much an adult at 23, with the youngest being 2. I have studied and worked in education for the last 20 years, working with children in mainstream and specialist provisions.

Since I can remember, I have loved taking photos. As a family we documented our holidays, special days, things that meant something to us and I spent many an hour poring over the photo albums remembering the happy times and reliving the emotions of the moment.

Since becoming a mother, I have done the same, recording both the big events and the smaller details that are easily forgotten but often asked about. With my family and friends, I love a documentary style of photography and have been caught in many an unusual position trying to get ‘the shot’. I aim to capture the senses in my photography so that when you look back you can remember the sounds, the smells, the things happening around you, as well as the mood.

My children definitely don’t always smile for the camera but I love that. Give me the frown or the yawn, the face that tells me so much more. That’s what makes me smile.

A session with me will be fun and relaxed, focused on your time together and what your family are happy to do. If the children want cuddles and take time to relax, then that’s where we’ll start but if they want to run around and play, we’ll go with that. However your session with me plays out, you’ll be sure to enjoy it.
